Welcome to Sir Isaac Newton Class

Our Year 5 class is named the Sir Isaac Newton Class in recognition of one of the greatest scientists of all time. Sir Isaac Newton made ground-breaking discoveries about forces, motion, and gravity, which completely changed the way people understood the world around them. His famous laws of motion and his explanation of gravity continue to shape science and technology today.

In Year 5, we learn about forces and gravity as part of our science curriculum, so naming our class after Newton felt especially fitting. His work inspires us to be curious learners who ask questions, investigate carefully and persevere in seeking answers. By carrying his name, we hope to reflect his spirit of enquiry and his dedication to expanding knowledge for the benefit of others.
